The Florida Division of Emergency Management said the move strengthens the state's ability to keep deploying critical resources.

- Order allows: Guard activation as needed, road closures, toll waivers
- County emergency center: Level 2, a partial activation
Locally, Commissioner Gregg Weiss said, "Parts of West Palm Beach received over 22 inches of rain." He described it as the kind of extreme event some characterize as a "one-in-1,000-type" storm. NewsRadio WIOD reported that Riviera Beach and Port St. Lucie have some of the worst neighborhood flooding in the state.
