Palm Beach County School District is cutting 214 teaching jobs, 24 support roles and six administration positions after an Aug.
24 enrollment count, and it is reassigning impacted workers to vacant roles — with no school closures planned.
🌲 Environment
Palm Beach County’s Solid Waste Authority reminded residents to recycle clean, dry office and school paper in their yellow bins + drop off excess paper at designated Centers or dumpsters.
The authority reported that mixed paper recycling reached over 28,500 tons last year, contributing to the county’s high recycling rate.
🏛️ Government
Palm Beach Police Chief Nicholas Caristo, a former NYPD detective (a 9/11 responder), recalled searching for victims’ remains after the terror attacks and stressed that community support saves lives.
